The Rome Renaissance staff and volunteers are made up from those of the weekend renaissance lovers to those who think they were born in the wrong era.

Our staff is dedicated to making your visit to the festival the best it can be. From the Queen's Story time to becoming a Knight on the battle field. Our festival is filled with staff members working to see you smile.

Our staff and volunteers do just that, they volunteer their time, dedication and hard work to make a dream come to life.

So come and join us in our love for the past, our quest to fill your dreams with mystical times and adventures!!

All Staff/Volunteers must complete, sign and return an application for the festival. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. If the application is accepted it will be considered by the Festival Committee. Application must be received no later than 30 business days prior to the festivals. Applicants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign the application. Please retain a copy for yourself and return the original by potal mail to the address listed at the bottom of the application.

The Rome Renaissance Festival is not responsible for Staff/Volunteer transportation, food or lodging while at the event.

RRF operates rain or shine with the exception of extreme weather which would be unsafe for Staff/Volunteers or Patrons to include but not limited to temperatures below 40 degress or above 150 degrees Fahrenheit, lighting within 5 miles, hurricanes, tornados, snow or ice which make roadways unsafe or damaging winds.

RRF is not responsible for any personal items that might be stolen, lost, damaged or destroyed in any manner while on the festival grounds or elsewhere.

Staff/Volunteers may have their photograph taken and used for promotional purposes by RRF.

Clothing/Attire
Staff/Volunteer must provide proper garb and are responsible for meeting appearance standard of RRF. Garb must be clean and in good repair and appropriate for a family event. Garb should be renaissance or medieval.

Staff/Volunteer Compensation and Regulations
If applicable, Staff/Volunteer will be compensated within 14 calendar days after the festival. If you lose your payment check you may request a replacement check within seven (7) calendar days. A $20.00 fee will be deducted from the replacement check. Cash payments will not be replaced. Failure to perform the duties assigned may result in forfeiture of this compensation. RRF provides no benefits such as unemployment insurance, health insurance or work's compensation insurance to Staff/Volunteers.

All staff is responsible for payment of all federal, state and local income taxes. Staff members are NOT eligible to win contests or prizes.

Volunteers - (pay rate: free admission and camping at festival grounds)

• Assists with setup and take down.
• Interacts with Patrons.
• Assists with and participates as needed in Activities.
• Over all.. HAVE FUN!!!

Royal Guards - (pay rate: per RRF Committee)

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Responsible for safety and security at the festival.

Game Attendants - (pay rate: per RRF Committee)

• Assists with setup and take down of games.
• Conducts play of games assigned to.
• Interacts with patrons to entice them to play.
• Over all.. HAVE FUN!!!

Ticket Collectors - (pay rate: per RRF Committee)

• Assist Patrons through gates.
• Conduct safe entrance & exit.
• Interact with Patrons.
• Assure all Patrons hand is stamped for re-entry.
• Hand out festival guide to Patrons.
• Point Patrons in correct ways.
• Over all.. HAVE FUN!!!

Kids Corner - (pay rate: per RRF Committee)

• Maintain a safe and secure play area.
• Maintain a good kid friendly environment.
• Maintain craft supplies.
• Maintain activity levels high with children having fun.
• Over all.. HAVE FUN!!!

Floater - (pay rate: per RRF Committee)

• Assure Patron assistance.
• Interact with Patrons.
• Attend to Patrons when needed.
• Attend to vendors, crafts or ticket booths.
• Over all.. HAVE FUN!!!
